Probably the best place to get food in Cañon city at the moment. Prices are affordable and service is ok. Burgers are solid, and fries are good too.
Simple, fast, delicious, and they serve Coors Banquet. Can't get any better. Order up bigger than you would think you would eat cause it's delicious.

It's always a special day when I get to go to the Owl Cigar Store! If you're looking for a blast from the past with that old timey feel.... Look no further. You'll feel like you stepping into a friendly old diner from yesteryear with terrific prices and better people. Everyone is nice and the food is on point. Super fresh and tasty. My only other piece of advice is to order at least a double double because the patties are thin. I drive close to 70 miles at least once a year for this experience. If you're passing through Canon City or close by, do yourself a favor and drop in.

This place was awesome. Great staff and this is where the locals go. They have an amazing bar, and you could tell by the conversation that everyone was local. On this particular night, I wanted simply and simply is what they specialize in. No fancy triple ground meat foo-foo burgers here. Think In &Out burger with table service . We both got a Double Double and it tasted like heaven in my mouth! After a day running the Arkansas (did the gorge twice) I felt justified in indulging in an old fashioned, timeless burger.
This is probably the cheapest burger place in existence right now! I paid a total of $6 for burger and fries altogether! But keep in mind this is like old school diner/burger joint. No lettuce tomatoes, etc on your burger, just the basic of basics
